The Jury family lived at Waverley Place, in Bowmanville, Ontario from 1901 to 1960.
In 1960 the home was established as the Bowmanville Museum, now a part of Clarington Museums and Archives.
The home was originally built in 1847 by the Fisher family and given the name "Waverley Place" by David Fisher. .
The Fishers lived in the home until 1901 when it was sold to the Jury family.
